My Education

I went to school when were paying school fees. There was no free primary school education. We were heavily punished for passing exams and later dropping the class mean grade. There was corporal punishment. I am not sure if there were a lot of stumps around or what!! but that was a common punishment across schools. Teachers: almost all of them had bicycles.

In this photo I was in High School and a had changed since I was in Primary School.

Anybody of my age would agree including +BRUCE MWENDWA. No he is older than I am. Though within the age set. I wrote about him people on this blog. That time we did seven subjects or more whether its relevant in your life or not, then or many years after that. That is the time I went to school bare feet with a torn pair of shorts.

My pullover was borrowed one from the older generation of pupils who went ahead of us. We could carry firewood eve Monday morning, five litre jerican of water every Tuesday and Thursday, mandatory cross country every Wednesday morning. It was fun to be in the list of those coming to school over the holiday to disrupt termites which were expected to destroying our desks.

I went to school at the time when we would stage fights every Friday on our way home. The same would be replicated at the end of the term. I also fought both as an individual and as a team. I fought with older girls whe were muscular than me. I tried my best to fight even those older than me but the end was not always pleasant.

That time I would not tell my grandmom that I was beaten; if your parent knew that you had fights s/he would start with you. There was nothing traumatizing as your parent being called to school because of your misbehaviour. You will regret. Because before any discussions started they will make sure that you have tears down cheek.

I went to school when there were no computers. I did not know anything to with analyzing blog posts and attracting people to your site. But now I know little about it. And in the end your realize that life is about learning. At the age of 27 I write blog post using the language I never enjoyed while in school. I was really poor.

I dint know today is #fridaythe13th.
