THE SUCCESSES AND FAILURES
I have had the privilege of
reading widely. I wanted to quit my job because I felt I want not being useful
to the company at all. In finding what I could do as a freelancer I stumbled up
someone by the name Emily. She is a writer and the way she introduced herself
on her blog prompted this post.
She says she started what she
thought was a blog post that ended into a best seller. The she raises her two
dogs wherever she lives. People love animals. I love them because I love meet. The
responsibility of raising dogs? For me, Questionable.
The next thing that came to my
mind was the three blogs that I started and all of the failed. Terribly. I
wrote good articles and some of my friends visited the blogs. I had a Facebook
page with a hundred and seventy likes. The blog was doing really well until
google blocked me from raising any money on it. The first two blogs did not do
very well. The third one did really well and in a months’ time I had fifteen
dollars in my account. In the end, they all failed.
I applied to be a freelancer
on freelancer and things looked brighter there. I spent most of my time online
looking for opportunities to earn. Freelancer started well and on my second day
of bidding, I got two projects. Then I wrote two short articles for my employer
and submitted. He went mute and never responded. The other project I got did
end before the employer told me to stop. I had taken too long to finish it. I
could not tell him that my computer had an issue.
I decided to look for other
writing opportunities and I applied for writer bay. The process is lengthy and
tiresome. In the end, they told me my writing is terribly poor. The article
contained either too many grammatical error or plagiarism. Plagiarism was wrong
because I write my articles. May be too many grammatical errors because I am
not a native English speaker.
Therefore, I got two other
websites uvocorp and asia writers. I made my applications and by the time of
writing this post, none had given me feedback. Although Asia writer had asked
for my identity. Looking for what you can do with your skills can be a daunting
journey. I decide to write these posts and save them may be in future I will
need them.
The moment I get results, back
I will let you know. However, I have had far too many disappointments.
Including jobs. There is a possibility
therefore, that I will not get positive feedback. However, I look forward for
better response for these type of employers.
The problem is that I think I
am better than who I am in reality. I guess writing is the way that I could do
and my leisure would be out in a volleyball pitch or lonely at the beach with
my box guitar. At least those are five hundred words in my head right now.
